Ground has been broken for Wood Hill Crossings Business Park, a 1.1 million square foot Class A industrial park in Woodridge. Bridge Development Partners, LLC is developing the Park with Berwind Property Group, Ltd. FCL Builders has been selected as the design/builder for the project. Cornerstone is providing architectural services.
"We are pleased to break ground on Wood Hill Crossings," commented Ron Frain, Principal of Bridge Development. "We look forward to continuing working with the Village of Woodridge and are excited to be a part of the dynamic industrial real estate market along the I-55 Corridor."
Wood Hill Crossings is located just south of the full four-way interchange at Joliet Road and I-55 with an additional nearby full expressway interchange at Lemont Road and I-55. With limited development sites in the market, Wood Hill Crossings situated adjacent to Internationale Center, is positioned to capture a large share of the demand for industrial space in the I-55 Corridor.
The first phase of construction for the new industrial park will consist of two speculative 140,000 square foot warehouse / distribution buildings. The facilities will feature 30' clear heights, offices built-to-suit, up to 32 exterior docks and parking for 215 vehicles. The heavily landscaped property also offers additional room for expansion and/or division of the properties. Construction financing for Phase I is being provided by LaSalle Bank. The second phase of construction at Wood Hill Crossings will consist of up to 1,000,000 square feet. Construction is scheduled for completion in Fall 2003.
